Nepalese and Indian artists in the Mithila region of India and Nepal perform a form of painting known as Madhubani Art (or Mithila painting). That’s where it began, thus it was given the name Madhubani. A variety of tools, such as fingers, twigs and brushes are used to create this piece of art, which is then coloured with natural dyes and pigments. An eye-catching geometrical pattern characterises this design.
